Mandy Williams is a New Zealand artist based in the seaside town of Mount Maunganui. For more than two decades, she has poured her creative energy into painting, shaped by a lifelong love of art and a background working with children — an influence that continues to inform the warmth, narrative, and sense of connection found throughout her work. Working across both acrylic and oil, she selects each medium for its distinct character — embracing the fluid spontaneity of acrylics and the soft, luminous blending that oils allow. Her most recent series draws inspiration from the vibrant style of the 1960s and 70s, echoing the sun-drenched spirit of Palm Springs, Slim Aarons, and David Hockney. These works come to life through bold, refreshing colour palettes, graceful figures, and refined finishes that bring a sense of calm and beauty to contemporary spaces.
