Collection: Evelina Milward

Evelina is currently completing her Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) with Honours at Toi Rauwhārangi College of Creative Arts, Massey University Pōneke. Her embryonic venture into the art world is largely concerned with cultural critique through the lens of feminist-ecological frameworks. 

Forging meaning through her transmedial practice, Evelina uses ceramics, textiles, wax, and installation-based sculpture to explore her growing understanding of communication through form. Her totemic ceramic sculpture, Sex Pistil, is due to be exhibited at Kaipara Coast Sculpture Garden. Responding to the garden's ecological theme, the large-scale structure morphs organic forms with antique lipstick cases, suggestive of the feminisation of nature and women alike.
