Pūriri Moth — Wall Sculpture by Luke Jacomb Studio
Sculptural and luminous, the Pūriri Moth captures the quiet presence of one of Aotearoa’s most iconic native species in hand cast glass.
Suspended as though resting mid-flight, the moth’s layered form allows light to move through its wings, casting subtle shadows and revealing gentle tonal depth. Both delicate and architectural, it brings a sense of stillness and symbolism to contemporary interiors.
In te ao Māori, the Pūriri moth is often regarded as a spiritual messenger — a quiet bridge between worlds. This interpretation honours that significance while celebrating the beauty of form, material and light.
Designed with an integrated set screw fitting, the piece mounts securely to most wall types while appearing to float effortlessly against the surface.
