Cast Glass Tomtit (Miromiro) — Wall Sculpture by Luke Jacomb Studio

Distinctive for its large head and short bill, the Miromiro is a smaller, more delicate cousin of Aotearoa’s robins. Highly adaptable and widespread, this native species favours mature forest but can also be spotted in gardens, farmland and the edges of urban spaces. Across Aotearoa, five subspecies exist—each unique to its own island or island group—making the Miromiro one of our most regionally varied native birds.

This cast-glass interpretation captures the charm and compact form of the Miromiro, bringing a subtle touch of New Zealand’s wildlife into any interior setting as a sculptural wall feature or part of a larger composition.
