Throughout this site, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Arte Haus Gallery. We operate this online store and our physical gallery in Mount Maunganui to provide you with a curated collection of art, ceramics and sculpture from emerging and established New Zealand artists.
Our website and store are powered by Shopify, which securely hosts our online sales platform.
By visiting our site or purchasing something from us, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy [link]. Please read them carefully before using our Services.
1. Eligibility and Account Details
You must be 18 years or older to purchase from Arte Haus Gallery.
When you provide contact, billing or shipping information, you confirm it is current and correct. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any account details and for all activity that occurs under your account.
2. Our Products
Each piece sold by Arte Haus Gallery is artisan-made. Natural variations are part of the process and not considered faults. For example, resin works may include small air bubbles, and ceramics may show subtle glaze or texture differences — these reflect the handmade nature of the work.
We take care to display accurate photos and descriptions, but colours can vary slightly between screens.
3. Orders
All orders placed through our online store are offers to purchase and are accepted once payment is processed.
We reserve the right to limit quantities or cancel any order if an artwork has sold in-gallery at the same time or is otherwise unavailable. If that happens, we’ll contact you and refund any payment made.
All purchases are for personal use within New Zealand only. For international enquiries, please contact us directly to discuss shipping options.
4. Pricing and Payment
All prices are shown in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include GST unless otherwise stated.
Prices may change without notice. The price confirmed at checkout is the final price.
You agree to provide valid payment details and authorise us (via Shopify Payments) to charge your nominated method for your purchase.
5. Shipping and Delivery
We ship within New Zealand only.
Delivery times are estimates; once items are collected by the courier, risk of loss passes to you. We’ll always do our best to pack and dispatch artwork safely and promptly.
For international shipping, please email gallery@artehaus.co.nz to request a quote before ordering.
6. Returns and Exchanges
Arte Haus Gallery complies fully with the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
If your item arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us within 7 days so we can arrange repair, replacement or refund as required by law.
For change-of-mind or exchange requests:

Returns must be made within 14 days of delivery.

Items must be in their original condition and packaging.

Return shipping is at the purchaser’s cost.

Refunds or credits will be processed once the item is received and inspected.
Because many works are one-of-a-kind, an identical exchange may not be possible; we’ll help find a suitable alternative where we can.
7. Intellectual Property
All artwork, images and text on this website are protected by copyright and remain the property of Arte Haus Gallery or the individual artist. You may not reproduce, distribute or use any content for commercial purposes without permission.
8. Third-Party Services
Our store uses Shopify and other trusted service providers (e.g. payment gateways, couriers). Their own terms and privacy policies apply to the parts of the transaction they handle.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by New Zealand law, Arte Haus Gallery will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of our Services. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act or Fair Trading Act.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be dealt with in New Zealand courts.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website, and your continued use of the site means you accept any changes.
