The details...
Tom Barter brings the familiar silhouette of the cat into his playful Folded Paper series, reducing its form to beautifully considered folds, angles and planes.
Created through lost-wax casting, the sculpture transforms the appearance of folded paper into luminous glass. Light travels through its translucent form, highlighting the geometry and creating subtle shifts in colour and intensity throughout the day.
Graphic, playful and unmistakably feline, it is a small sculptural piece with plenty of personality.
