In Daisy Daisy, Lynette Fisher draws on her distinctive visual language, combining idioms, words, sayings and poetry with the rhythmic patterns of Morse code to construct the composition.
Language becomes both message and mark — sometimes carrying meaning, sometimes becoming abstracted through colour, pattern and repetition. And, as Lynette admits, sometimes the process goes a little rogue, leaving the final interpretation open to anyone’s guess.
