Pleat bowls

Janna van Hassel’s Pleat Bowls translate her fascination with folding, stacking and the everyday rhythms of domestic life into a playful collection of functional ceramics.

Handmade with softly irregular forms, each bowl features expressive black vertical lines reminiscent of pleated fabric, paired with contrasting interiors in Janna’s characteristically bold palette. The repetition of line gives each piece a sense of rhythm while retaining the looseness and individuality of the maker’s hand.

Designed to be mixed, matched and stacked, Pleat Bowls bring Janna’s distinctive approach to colour, pattern and imperfection from the gallery wall to the everyday table.

Available in assorted colourways. As each piece is handmade, variations in form, glaze and detailing make every bowl unique.
