Terrier Glass Dog Sculpture

Compact, characterful and beautifully geometric, Tom Barter’s Terrier transforms a familiar canine form into a striking piece of contemporary glass.

Part of his Folded Paper series, the sculpture takes its cues from origami, with crisp planes and angular folds recreated through the meticulous lost-wax casting process. Light passes through the translucent glass, illuminating the form and intensifying its colour.

A playful object in its own right, Terrier brings together Tom’s technical mastery of glass with a wonderfully light-hearted sense of character.
